Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi-Dar-El-Salaam
You will be picked up by our safari representative from your residents at 4:00am and then transferred to the bus station. You will arrive in time to board the Dar Express bus where you will embark to a 16hrs drive of winding roads, picturesque mountain views, and rural settlements to Dar-el-Salaam the city of peace located along the coast of the Indian Ocean, and home to a wide range of people and cultures known for its beaches, islands, seafood and music. After arriving you will be picked and taken to the hotel where you will check-inn and rest having had a long tiresome safari. Accommodation at Kipepeo Beach Resort
Day 2: Dar-El-Salaam – Zanzibar
After Breakfast you will board a boat which will take you to Zanzibar an archipelago of islands city .The boat ride will take 2 ½hrs .After arriving at Zanzibar you will be picked and transferred to your hotel. You will check inn, have lunch and later spend the rest of the day leisurely at the hotel as you enjoy the views and the facility amenities including gym, swimming pool sauna and steam bath. Day 3: Dar-El-Salaam
The third day you have option of leisurely staying at your beach hotel or spend at Stone Town the cultural heart of Zanzibar which was established by Arab slave and spice traders in the early 19th century. Zanzibar is believed to have come from the first Arab sea traders who mentioned the coast of the black people. You will get a view of ancient architecture buildings and learn street food culture. You may decide to go back at the hotel for lunch and spend the afternoon visiting the local markets you can visit the Darajani market and see how people make ends meet or go shopping and visit the beach. Day 4: Dar-El-Salaam
After breakfast on your fourth day you have option of leisurely staying at your beach hotel or spend you will have a Spice Tour. Zanzibar was known as the spice island during the
19th Century. Clove, ginger, vanilla, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg are some of the spices. Growing of spices is very popular and lucrative in the island. You will visit plantations to learn about how spices are grown and the important role they play in the economy of Zanzibar. The Kizimbani Spice Farm is one of the most visited spice plantations in Zanzibar. This plantation is found in the island of Unguja. While visiting the farm, expect to taste and smell products from cinnamon, breadfruit, lime, coconut, cloves, nutmeg, black pepper, coriander, bananas, jack fruits, mangoes and black pepper. Day 5: Dar-El-Salaam – Nairobi
After Breakfast you will board a boat which will take you back to Dar-el-salaam where you will arrive in time to board your flight at 3:25pm back to Nairobi. After arriving to Nairobi you will be picked and transferred to you residents.
