Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu
The reserve is rugged and semi–Desert Park located in the Samburu County in the Rift valley region Kenya. Due to its remote distance, the park has retained a natural serene and quiet feeling.
The national reserve offers a wide variety of activities while there from game viewing of amazing wild animals, Samburu has a wide variety of unique animals’ species like the Grevy Zebra, Baisy Oryx and reticulated giraffe. Besides that, you get to see other animals like the Cheetahs, Lions, Impalas and Buffalos. The park also offers over 350 species of birds for the bird lovers and Samburu cultural tours where you can visit the Samburu villages and get a chance to interact with the colorful Samburu people in their traditional settings and experience their culture. You will check in at your accommodation for lunch and leave for your first game drive starting 1600hrs in search for Samburu specials, which includes the Baisy Oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Oryx among others. The sunsets are one of the magical moments you cannot afford to miss if the weather permits, as the sun goes down the African horizons before you retire to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Simba Lodge/Sopa Lodge
Day 2: Full Day Samburu
This day you will start very early at 0615am, morning is the most ideal time for the game viewing and your safari guide will make certain to search for the elusive leopards, lions, gerenuks, reticulated giraffes among other resident wildlife. Return back to your lodge for breakfast and spend the rest of the mid-day at leisure. Overnight stay at Samburu Simba Lodge/Sopa Lodge
Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
After spending 2 nights at Samburu, you now head to the beautiful lake Nakuru National Park situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The lake lies 150kms northwest of Nairobi in Nakuru County surrounded by wooded bushy grassland, the lake offers a variety of activities from afternoon game drives, and you will view the millions of pink flamingos that color the lake pink.
The park is also one of the rhino sanctuaries in Kenya and ideal for bird watching, picnics and game drives. After checking in at your accommodation the game drives will start at 1600 hrs. back to your accommodation when sun sets down. Your night will be spent at our handpicked safari lodge overlooking the stunning views of the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge /Flamingo Resort

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
After breakfast you will drive south west to the unrivaled plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve across the Masai land through the Suswa plains with a brief stopover at the Masai town of Narok. Continue towards the interior plains of the Mara arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game reserve with an extra ordinary highest density of animals including the Big five and other varieties of plains game. The 270Kms. long Mara River cuts through the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem offering the spectacle during the annual migration and life to the two game reserves as it meanders through the savanna into Lake Victoria. The highlight of this safari is the instinct-led migration of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara,
After checking in at your accommodation in good time for lunch you will later embark on afternoon game drive starting 1600hrs. Until 1830hrs for dinner and overnight. Stay at Sopa Lodge/Simba Lodge
Day 5: Masai Mara Full Day
The second day in Mara will spent exploring the extensive grasslands of the Maasai Mara on a full day game drive. You will get packed lunch and picnic in the wild. Maasai Mara Game Reserve is renowned for being host to the Great Wildebeest migration. Millions of wildebeest’s cross over the Mara River every year from the Serengeti in search of grazing pastures.
As they make their way across the Mara River, some of them are eaten by the hungry crocodiles awaiting them on the river banks (from mid-June till end of October). The Great Migration which is listed as one of the wonders of the world is an experience that you will live to remember. In addition to this, Maasai Mara is home to other animals like waterbucks, baboons, gazelles, monkeys, impalas, Maasai giraffes among others and over 500 bird species. You will later look for a perfect shade under an acacia tree for your picnic lunch with amazing views of the savanna. Back to the camp at around 1700hrs. Dinner and overnight at Sopa Lodge/Simba Lodge
Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Sunrise and early breakfast are at the Mara before your drive back to Nairobi with a brief stop on the way arriving in early afternoon.
NB; Timings indicated are meant to act as guidelines, departure times may change especially for the game drives as it depends on wildlife sightings and climate patterns. Your safari driver guide in case of game drives and your airport representative in case of airport transfer times will advise you as you go along.
