Zanzibar

Zanzibar is also known as the spice island. At any visit to this island, you are guaranteed of fresh quantities of the various spices that can be found here. This is an island partner of Tanzania and it nestles in the Indian Ocean. The two main islands are Pemba and unguja although there are other several tiny islands .The rich historical town of stone town adds to the beauty of this island. The Jozani national park in Zanzibar is an added advantage. It consists of the last indigenous forest on the island. It is home to the endemic Zanzibar red colobus monkeys. It is also home hundreds of colorful butterfly species, over 40 bird species and antelopes which include Aders duikers and Suni. Zanzibar is the perfect destination to include in a beach extension after you have had good times in the dusty plains of east Africa.
